Pugs and the end of 2006 with simplicity

G and I took a trip after a potluck party to Pasir Ris farmway to have a look at the dogs. My, the place sure has changed since I last visited it about 2 years back. We droved around visiting the various pet farms, checking out the prices of pugs. They sure are expensive, although no where near a British Bulldog, which is S$3K+ for a pup. Pugs on the other hand were going for S$1K for ‘pet types’ to S$1.4K for ‘competition types’. I wonder if there’s a difference. They all look the same to me. Nonetheless we had a ball of a time playing with 2 pugs are a pet park, which owners are encouraged to bring they dogs to let them have a run and mingle with other dogs, yup, butt smelling and all.

We headed home thereafter and gave Dino a big hug, I always seem to miss my cuddley pug.

After a nap, we took a slow drive down to the Kallang basin to catch the new year fireworks. At our vantage point we couldn’t see the lower ones but the higher ones were great! We were approximately 1km away from ground zero since it took about 3 plus seconds for the sound to reach us.

After the show, 8 minutes long, we scrambled to the car to blaze off before we get caught in the jam. Made our way to Jalan Besar to have our favourite Yong Tau Foo, thus being our first meal for 2007.

It was a simple day indeed. Just the way I love it.
