It was a pretty relax day for me since I’m on leave. I woke up earlier and ran some errands before heading down to the club. G called and I told her I was on my way to have my favorite beef noodles at Changi Village, with synchronicity she added that that’s the reason for her call, her cravings. Ok fine, I’ll skip that and we’ll have that for dinner instead. She sound happy like a puppy. Off course, things never pans out like you really want to. The stall wasn’t opened. So I buzzed her to let her know the ‘bad news’ and apparently she’s changed her mind. Har. Women. Now she’s got a craving for pizza. OK. I’ll pick her up later for we’ll head to our pizza joint then. So I headed home first to have a game of Company of Heroes. Since there’s some time to kill.
Picked her from Parkmall and headed down to Railway Mall. And boy was it raining. I did a bad boo boo of driving past the bus stop at YMCA and splashing down folks with a puddle that was there. My bad.
Finally made it there in spite of the torrential downpour. Rocky’s Pizza, for as long as I could remember, served one of the nicest thin crust pizzas I can find in Singapore. It shifted three times if memory serves me right. The first time I ate at Rocky’s was when it was in Katong. They then shifted further up Katong and finally settled at Railway Mall. Quite a jump.
We order our usual Boston 12″ and a lasagna. No more meatballs this time. Too much the last time so we reckon a pizza and a side dish would suffice our appetites. We waited in anticipation until it came. The lasagna was piping hot as was the pizza from the oven. I greedily tucked it a huge mouth full. I just love chewy cheese. The crust was perfect and even to the last piece it was still crusty and not soggy. We sat there, chewing our pizza and watch the drizzle coming down. Who would’ve thought a pizza on a rainy day would be so nice.
